Aquilla Swim Club is the ideal space for swimming lessons, conveniently located by the Rembrandt Hotel in the heart of Knightsbridge and South Kensington.
Aquilla Swimming Club is an inclusive and safe environment that encourages improvement and excellence. Our coaches are dedicated to fostering both enjoyment and progress, helping swimmers build skill, fitness, and confidence at a pace that suits them.
Our 30-minute lessons combine high-quality coaching with nationally recognised frameworks from Swim England and the Learn to Swim Programme.
Our programme is overseen by highly qualified, experienced swimming instructors, ensuring:

Who We Teach
From babies to adults, and from those who have never been in a swimming pool before to seasoned experts looking to hone their technique, we have courses tailored to your needs, age, and abilities.

Our Team and Approach
Our swimmers are supported by a dedicated team of qualified professionals.
All our coaches:
- Hold nationally recognised ASA Level 2 (and above) and STA Level 1 & Level 2 qualifications
- Hold certification in safeguarding with STA.
- Are trained in water safety, and swimmer development.
- Are DBS-checked and fully insured.
- Deliver consistent and high-quality coaching, aligned with national standards.

Our pool is open to all ages. Our lessons are tailored to all ages and ability levels, from 3 months old to adults.
Our classes are kept small to ensure that each swimmer receives full attention. Class sizes vary according to the swimmers’ age and ability. We provide 1:1, 2:1 and group classes; swimmers are grouped by age and ability to support safe and effective learning.
Yes, we provide dedicated and family-friendly changing facilities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment to accommodate all needs.
Our swimming club is very child friendly. In fact, a large portion of our members join as children, so we are particularly experienced in working with young swimmers.
Swimmers are assessed regularly using our progression pathway, with certifications and rewards for achievements.
Our lessons run during school term time. We also offer crash courses during school holidays, which are a great way for swimmers to maintain both progress and enthusiasm.
